Wow! If this latest rash of liberal babel doesn’t confound you, nothing will. Let’s start with some of the latest things from the last few months. At one point it looked as if Obama and Hillary couldn’t stand each other. We heard nothing nice from Hillary about Obama. She has mentioned on many occasions the very little experience he has in the realm of national politics. Yet somehow, with Mrs. Clinton by his side, he suddenly has the experience to lead the nation into the next decade. One minute they can’t stand each other, next minute they are side by side in unity for this great nation that needs change. CHANGE…what in the world are they planning on changing? I haven’t heard a great idea from these two snot-nosed twelfth graders running for high school prom king and queen. A wind-fall profits tax on the oil companies. That is a great idea…if you are the government. Companies don’t pay taxes…consumers do. That means the prices will rise even higher to keep money in the hands of the business owner. Yet even more of every dollar we make will disappear into the hands of the “tax it if it breathes…and even if it doesn’t” liberals. The government already takes 16% of every dollar spent on gas. They want to pull out of Iraq. That is great…the liberals believe that Americans are the only ones entitled to live without fear and oppression; except that if liberals take office, we will be in fear and oppression- fear as to how we will be able to feed and take care of our families and oppression because we the people will be paying even more money to the government than we already do. Liberals want to nationalize healthcare. Nationalized healthcare will not work for a nation our size. Our hospitals are already overwhelmed by the number of people that our limited facilities try to care for. The amount of money required to update and expand facilities to take care of the entire nation is astounding. We will have to build more hospitals, train and employ more healthcare workers from basic care providers all the way up to neurosurgeons and specialists. Private practice will be left only to care for high income family’s and individuals while the current system is over-run by people looking for government funded “free” care. In other words, we the tax payers pay for the healthcare of all with our taxes. It is not “nationalized” healthcare. It is “taxpayer” healthcare. If we do go nationalized healthcare, normal everyday people that work in the businesses that run this nation day-to-day will not be able to afford personalized care. Liberals also like to take away our right to own guns. They don’t seem to understand that people kill people, not guns. If someone really wants to kill another person and they don’t have a gun, they will find another way to get the job done. Next thing you know, liberals will be trying to ban owning axes. You know those axes are always flying off the handle to kill someone. The L.A. Times mentioned conservatives liking activist judges when they work for what we want. All you leftists who believe that need to hear something else…Conservatives support any judge who preserves the individual rights of every American regardless of their political orientation whether that be Democrat or Republican. We don’t support judges who try to limit our freedom, take away our rights, or give the rights that Americans have died for to terrorists and illegal aliens. This morning Wesley Clark went on the offense for Obama saying “

in the matters of national security policy making, it’s a matter of understanding risk, it’s a matter of gauging your opponents and it’s a matter of being held accountable. John McCain’s never done any of that in his official positions. … He hasn’t held executive responsibility. That large squadron in the Navy that he commanded wasn’t a wartime squadron. He hasn’t been there and ordered the bombs to fall…I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president.” Congrats to the great General Clark. Thank you for your service to this country Gen. Clark…but please, neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton or Barrack Obama have any military service with this country or any other. So if the limited combat or military leadership of McCain isn’t enough to support his run for the presidency…then maybe the total lack of military service by any of the three mentioned above disqualifies them to be an effective force in the protection of this nation and our allies. McCain supports the ongoing quest for energy independence we so desperately need. Obama supports the age old liberal ideas of remaining dependent on foreign energy. Rather than supporting ourselves with our own resources and dramatically increasing the size of the American workforce, Obama suggests we “drive less”. This is the same guy that takes his own personal transportation to each event he attends. Whether that be a bus or plane, Obama is not utilizing public transportation and limiting his own use of fuel and energy. He is spending tax-payer dollars (his salary) to travel across the nation while collecting over $300 million from his supporters contributing to his presidential campaign. Does that really sound like someone interested in decreasing demand and supporting efficiency. Obama is a waffler…he says and does whatever he thinks will get him elected. I am not the only person saying that either. The major news outlets have caught onto that as well. If you don’t think your rights will be affected by Obama and his minions getting into office…think again.

So, all you democrats and leftists have a problem with the President, the war, and just about anything else that Bush has had his hand in.  So what are your answers to the problems that we face.  You know answers…solutions.  I haven’t heard anything feasible or even worth listening to.  “Bush sucks…Bush is running this country into the ground…Bush is responsible for high gas prices…Bush is responsible for global warming…Bush is responsible for an illegitimate war…  Blah blah blah.  So what is your solution.  I have heard enough complaining by all parties,  what is your damn solution?  We don’t just pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan.  We have a lot at stake over there.  Here is my answer…we took the fight to them.  We have not had another attack in the U.S. since 9/11.  Where have they had attacks?  In other countries that don’t have the resolve to stomp terrorists like the cockroaches they are.  Gas prices are high.  Do you know why?  It is because the leftists don’t want to do more drilling here in the U.S. and become more self-reliant.  Global warming, oh my goodness, don’t even get me started on that one.  There is no such thing.  Why don’t you talk to the people up north who pay outrageous prices for heating oil in the winter about global warming.  Oh yeah, Iraq.  Well let’s just say that for some reason, no one remembers the Nazi’s.  We have proof of mass burial sites.  We have proof that Saddam’s military was raping and torturing and killing innocent people.  He invaded Kuwait.  He released poison gas on the Curds.  We have proof that he was aiding and abetting terrorists.  We have proof of all those issues and we did something about it unlike the leftists who seem to think that Americans are the only people that deserve to live fruitful lives free of tyranny.  Don’t get me started on Obama either.  He is an appeaser.  He thinks he can talk some sense into the Muslim extremists that would just as soon kill him as talk to him.  He thinks the rest of the world should like us.  Forget that.  Our founding fathers came over here and started this nation knowing they would not be liked by their home country or its allies.  That is all.

The verdict is in.  Terrorists have constitutional rights just like you and me.  Are we U.S. citizens?  Yes we are.  Are the terrorists down in Guantanamo Bay from the U.S.?  No they are not.  None the less, a U.S. court has decided that they have the same constitutional rights you and I have.  It is said that they only have the right of habeas corpus.  In short, they can’t be held without charges being filed against them.  To be honest, I don’t know why charges haven’t been filed, but all of those people were arrested as terrorists and all of them are very proud of what they have done and make no effort to hide the fact that they hate us and will kill us if given the chance.  Come on people.  These MURDERERS have no rights.  Not only because they are not U.S. citizens, and not only because they kill without prejudice, but also because they are already responsible for many, many deaths.  There were thousands of hero’s that gave us the rights we have.  Now there are 5 judges that gave those rights to terrorists.  Where does it stop?

The government and our money.  You couldn’t separate them with a pry bar.  By government, I mean state and federal.  If you are lucky enough to live in a state with no state sales tax, consider yourself pretty lucky.  Look at the breakdown of your paycheck.  You lose a certain percentage to federal income tax (10%-35%), a percentage to state income tax if you have it, a little to social security, a little to Medicaid, and so forth.  That adds up over time.  You also pay taxes on everything you buy from most foods to cars and houses.  You pay tax when you go out to eat, when you fill up your car (16%), when you buy a soda…  The list goes on and on.  They tax it when you make it and they tax it when you spend it.

Now, what do you get back from this?  You may get a certain percentage of your taxes back if you paid in too much or if you didn’t make enough to warrant what was paid in.  That goes for federal and state taxes.  At some point, you will eventually be eligible for social security benefits.  Now, if you are getting SSI benefits and you don’t have any children or a spouse, when you die the government keeps your money.  It doesn’t go to a beneficiary.  If each member of a married couple reaches 62, they can each receive SSI benefits based on their own work history.  If a spouse dies, you get the larger check, not both.  If you die and don’t have any children under the age of 18, the SSI benefit is lost.  If you get married to someone who is not getting SSI benefits, you cannot receive your benefits.  If you marry someone who is getting SSI benefits, then you can still receive yours.  In all of these instances that the SSI benefit is lost, the government keeps the money.  This is money we paid in and that money should still belong to us and be given to us.  None of the money we pay in goes to a beneficiary.

Now I know that most democrats think that once you pay money to the government it becomes theirs.  I justify this statement with the fact that it was the democrats that were complaining about the first set of checks that went out under the Bush administration to help the people of this great nation.  This is a nation “of the people, by the people, and for the people”.  So when politicians who supposedly represent the people who voted for them tell us that the money we have contributed to this nation does not belong to us while they live plush lives financed by our tax money, we should really have something to say about it.

More to come later…..
